Have you ever said to yourself, "I wish I had more time, just one more day"? Well, tomorrow, February 29, is the day! It's Leap Year, an extra day in the calendar.
So what are you going to do with your extra day?
For many of us, it falls in the middle of our work week, so we will probably have to go to the office, turn on the computer, answer and send some emails, work on day-to-day activities. For others, it is another day at school. For moms and dads, you may still have to get your kids out of bed and off to school and then get your work done whether at home or in an office.
But it is an extra day. It is worth celebrating.
So here's my offer: If you want to really take advantage of this extra day, this extra time in your calendar, DO IT!
Take a day off of work and have some fun.
Or go to work, but work on something that you really LOVE to do.
Keep the kids home and have your family play together.
Or if it just doesn't work out in the middle of the week, do your regular daily activities on Wednesday, but plan your "extra day" activities for the weekend.
Whatever you do on February 29, ENJOY YOURSELF! It only comes around every four years, so it's worth stepping back a little, taking a deep breath, and having some fun!
I would like to send a "Happy Birthday" shout out to my Uncle Tom Cooper who is celebrating his 14th or 15th birthday on February 29. (When it's only celebrated every 4 years, I forget which it is.) Happy Birthday, Uncle Tom! Have a fun day!
