BEFORE MASS
Take 30 seconds: Why do you believe in the risen Christ?
Scripture Readings: Acts 2:42-47; Psalm 118:2-4,13-15,22-24; 1 Peter 1:3-9; John 20:19-31
Family Perspective: “They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of bread and to the prayers.” Doesn’t this description of the early Christian community sound like a great description of family life? Every Christian family learns about and grows in faith together, shares things in common, eats meals together, and prays together. We encounter the living Christ in the midst of Christian family living.
AFTER MASS
Chat:
Adults/Youth/Children: Even though you can’t see Jesus, what helps you to believe that he is truly risen and is still alive?
Family Response: This week, be conscious of how you experience the risen Christ in one another—through sharing food and conversation, in prayer together, in the good deeds that you do for one another, in the comfort that you give one another.
Pray: Lord Jesus Christ, we do believe that you are alive and with us. Open our eyes to see you in others and in all of creation. Amen.
