FIFTH SUNDAY OF LENT
BEFORE MASS Take 30 seconds: What do you believe about death and resurrection? Scripture Readings: Ezekiel 37:12-14; Psalm 130:1-8; Romans 8:8-11; John 11:1-45 Family Perspective: Jesus wept at the death of Lazarus. He mourned the loss of his friend. We, too, weep when someone we love dies. Yet we know, as Jesus proved with raising Lazarus from the dead and, especially, with his own resurrection, that even though our bodies will die, we will rise again and be with Jesus forever. We will again see our grandparents, great-grandparents, and everyone we love who has died, and we will all live “happily ever after”…for real! AFTER MASS Chat: Adults/Youth: How does the promise of resurrection affect the way you live your life? view your death? Children: How do you feel knowing that you will see the people you love who have died again? Family Response: Pray for your loved ones who have died. Talk about what they might be doing or experiencing in heaven with Jesus. Pray: Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
